It’s always great to see old-school horror icons in new projects. In recent years, we’ve seen that happen more and more. However, seldom do we get a cast made up of horror heavy-hitters like this one. Natty Knocks will feature Robert Englund, Danielle Harris, and Bill Moseley.

This new slasher’s horror pedigree doesn’t stop with the on-screen talent. Dwight H. Little directed the film. His filmography includes Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers and an episode of Freddy’s Nightmares. Additionally, Little directed Murder at 1600, The Last Rampage, and episodes of Bones, Arrow, The X-Files, and 24 to name a few. Natty Knocks sees Little teaming with screenwriter Benjamin Olson

Natty Knocks Looks Like a Fun Ride

“A small-town babysitter and the kids she is looking after struggle to survive a serial killer on Halloween Eve,” reads the film’s synopsis on IMDb. That serial killer’s name is Abner Honeywell and he’s the traumatized son of local boogiewoman Natty Knocks.

After watching the trailer and looking at the movie’s IMDb page, it looks like we’re going to see plenty of Harris, Englund, and Moseley. Robert Englund plays what looks to be a town elder with all the answers. Harris takes on the role of Diane Henderson. I’m assuming she’s the mother of the babysitter, Britt Henderson. We’ll see Bill Moseley take on the role of Abner. Moseley rarely disappoints in roles where he can cut loose and become a raving maniac.

Get Ready for Natty

We won’t have to wait until Halloween Eve to watch Natty Knocks. Vertical will release the movie on July 21st. At this time, it is unclear where the movie will be available to watch.

Tony Paintedosi, Vertical’s SVP of Acquisitions spoke about the film in a statement. Natty Knocks immediately intrigued us given its collaboration of prolific horror icons who defined the genre for decades. The film is a testament to Dwight’s experience as a filmmaker, and we’re pleased that we were able to come on board for the project.”

Natty Knocks producers added, “Vertical is doing great things with independent distribution and we can’t wait for audiences to see the entertaining movie our talented cast and director have delivered.”
