Never Hike in the Snow is a prequel set three months prior to the events of Never Hike Alone. The film follows the events surrounding the strange disappearance of Mark Hill (Courtlan Gordon), a young resident of Crystal Lake who went for a hike in the dead of winter and never came home.
As Local Wessex County Sheriff Rick Cologne (Vinny Guastaferro) and Deputy Alan Mabry (Bryan Forrest) search for answers, lifelong resident Tommy Jarvis (Thom Mathews) believes his old nemesis Jason Voorhees (Vincente DiSanti) is to blame. Will Diana Hill (Anna Campbell) ever see her son again, or will her son become another lost victim of the cursed camp?
Womp Stomp’s previous film, Never Hike Alone caught the horror world by surprise with its debut at the Telluride Horror Show in 2017 and has since garnered 1.6 million views on YouTube with a 98.9% approval rating.
It’s a result that Womp Stomp is eager to build on with Never Hike in the Snow.
“It’s ultimately going to be up to the fans to decide, but our team is very proud of this movie and we can’t wait to share it with the horror community,” says director and producer Vincente DiSanti. “We know fans have high expectations, but so do we. The film has a lot of unexpected surprises and certainly sets a bold tone for the rest of the content we have planned for the future.”
Never Hike in the Snow, the first of four new entries in the Never Hike Alone Saga, is set to premiere on the Womp Stomp Films Youtube channel on Oct. 13, 2020, for free without ads.
Womp Stomp has also launched a 13-day Indiegogo campaign starting to allow Friday the 13th fans one last chance to get their name in the credits of the film and pre-order a first-edition Never Hike in the Snow Blu-Ray, which will release on Dec.1, 2020, just in time for the holiday season.
