Hard R Rating For James Wan’s Mortal Kombat
I’m very excited to see that James Wan’s Mortal Kombat reboot has got a hard R rating and will also include some fatalities! The screenwriter Greg Russo confirms this in a tweet he made–see below.
The 90s Movies Don’t Hold Up
I don’t know if y’all remember the Mortal Kombat movies from the 90s or not, but–for the time–I really enjoyed them. Looking back and giving a rewatch, they do not hold up well at all!

Fatalities will be in the movie!
Seeing how the games got a fresh update with Mortal Kombat 10 & 11 with X-Ray fatalities, I feel it’s time to reboot these and see what modern times can do. I’m very excited about this, as well as my son. He’s a huge gamer and had me preorder both Mortal Kombat 10 & 11. I told him about this news and he was ecstatic. Since he’s 12, it’s awesome to see he actually likes the first 2 movies, so he definitely can’t wait for 2021 for the release of this. We both will definitely be at the nearest AMC to watch Mortal Kombat 2020!
